Location Ideas
When couples ask me for location ideas for their engagement photos, I turn around with a few questions:
“What do you like to do together?”
“Do you have a favorite café or park to hang out at?”
“What’s your style? Do you like modern and luxurious, urban-industrial, or all-natural?”
Once we know some of these answers, I can help guide you. To be honest, I’m a photographer who finds inspiration in new places. I will rarely suggest a place that’s already been used, and I love when my couples invite me to their special spots. My best engagement sessions are ones where the couple chooses a date idea and I tag along. If you & your fiancé are having FUN, it makes for really natural and unique looking photos.

I want to bring you along to the shoot I did with Justice & Faustina. We started the session at Lake Calhoun in Uptown, Minneapolis. The evening had just turned into golden hour – ya know, that really yummy lighting – and we got some gorgeous photos of them sitting at a beachside café.
They walked down a dock & started dancing. Then, we all hopped in a car and drove to Betty Dangers, a quirky restaurant-wanna-be-country-club, where you can enjoy margaritas & a fusion of Mexi-Cali cuisine. The best part is that there is mini golf & ferris wheel rides! So naturally we partook in the adventures, & look at these fun photos! Then we ended the night with a romantic walk across the Lowry Avenue Bridge.
