This venue is perfect for the modern bride. Muse was designed for giving guests a spectacular experience! The main ballroom has an overlooking mezzanine, so the room feels incredibly spacious. Muse prizes itself on its top-notch sound and lighting equipment and expertise, it even has tech guys who will help during your wedding day! Muse is located in the North Loop of Minneapolis, surrounded by your favorite bars + restaurants. With a wedding suite completely outfitted with mirrors and vanities, you won’t have to go to multiple locations for all your wedding prep!

3. Riverside at Minneapolis Event Centers
Thousands of cascading fiber optic lights fill this gorgeous venue that overlooks the Mississippi River. It is located in the heart of the historic St. Anthony Main District and is a beautiful blend of elegant + industrial. With all the light & airy vibes, exposed brick, and tall ceilings, this venue will make your guests feel like high-class VIPs. 4. Café & Bar Lurcat
Aren’t you just melting when you see this venue?! If you have never been to the Lurcat, you might have thought it was in Italy! Romantic outdoor patio, black-and-white checkered floors, crystal chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows, and gorgeous plants. This is a taste of heaven. And the cuisine is equally exquisite, served with an extensive menu of wines + cocktails. It is located next to Loring Park in Minneapolis and is walking distance from a variety of fun attractions (Walker Art Museum, for one). Café & Bar Lurcat is a perfect venue for intimate weddings as well as rehearsal dinners. Step into this enchanting venue and you will absolutely love your wedding day!

5. Lumber Exchange Event Center
Want a city wedding where you and your wedding party can take cute pics on the crosswalks and pop into a bar to get drinks together?! The ideal downtown location of the Lumber Exchange makes this possible for you. Not only that, but check out this interior! You feel the expansiveness just by looking up and seeing a bajillion stories high. With a variety of rooms to pick from, you will have your getting ready + ceremony + reception covered. And the team of staff is beyond incredible. They are super attentive, warm and eager to fulfill your vision. The ceremony space has magical lights strung along the industrial brick, and the reception space matches it, and can be customized with splashes of colorful lights.

6. The Landmark Center
Elaborate architecture and hundred year old history is what makes this venue attractive to many. With the four-story high atrium and unique skylight ceiling, your wedding will have a stunning blend of natural light and deep, rich tones. If you tend to enjoy the aura of St. Paul over Minneapolis, then this is definitely a place you will want to check out. It is right across the street from the infamous Rice Park, which offers additional variety to photo-ops – there’s a fountain, and at night, there are twinkle lights! If you have a winter wedding, don’t think twice – Rice Park is the most magical winter wonderland! But in any season, you will love what the Landmark Center has to offer.
This is a government owned building and has a variety of functions. Therefore, it is not exclusively catered to brides + grooms like other venues may be (for example, it does not have a bridal suite, but there is a beautiful room on an upper level where brides can get ready). And it is pet friendly!
7. Nicollet Island Pavilion
Yes, this venue is actually on an island. Not exactly your sandy beach + tropical fruits island, but is sounds equally enchanting – Raspberry Island! If you love Minneapolis and want to be right on the river with beautiful skyline views, this is your spot. Rich with charm & history, the Nicollet Island Pavilion has all the exposed brick you could ever dream of, deep hanging chandeliers, and evergreen-colored ceilings and doors. The main difference between this venue and others that I’ve listed is that it’s run by a 3rd party company who is responsible for the management of many wedding venues. (For its sister location, check out Minnesota Boat Club, also on the shores of Raspberry Island, providing gorgeous city views and bridge access).

8. Como Lake Pavilion
If you’re looking for something light-hearted, family-friendly, and full of nature but still in the city, you might enjoy the Como Lake Pavilion. The pavilion itself is gorgeous, with ornate white pillars and teal detailed windows. It’s a romantic spot for saying “I do” while overlooking water. Then just take a walk with your honored guests and find all the mini waterfalls along the path! A breezy cafe is inside the pavilion, perfect for guests to grab some summer eats. Of course, in true MN fashion, activities like kayaking are also made available.

9. The St. Paul Hotel
Gold, gold, and more gold. This regal venue will have you feeling like kings and queens. Hosting weddings and other elegant events since 1910, the St. Paul Hotel has a level of class that surpasses others. You will experience it in their service, from the staff, and in the ornate design of the rooms. You guys, there are velvet chairs in the lobby! Please, please, please have your celebration in the Promenade Ballroom! The walls, ceilings and chandeliers are all tinted with gold! The location of this venue is also prime if you want to be in the city with nearby hotel accommodations, restaurants, and fun downtown photo-ops!

10. Legacy Hill Farm
Minnesota is known for barn weddings, but how do you know which barn to choose? Look no further than the whimsical, French industrial Legacy Hill Farm in Welch, MN. And for those of you who weren’t envisioning a barn wedding, don’t rule this one out quite yet. It stands alone in its variety of spaces + amenities, including: an outdoor bar + patio, a weather-proof pavilion with a fireplace, spacious wedding party suites, and the magical fountain in the front courtyard! You will absolutely love your experience at Legacy Hill Farm.

11. Pinewood Weddings & Events (new!)
Welcome to your nature oasis. With towering pines surrounding a modern building, you have the best of northern MN vibes + luxurious accommodations. I’m not gonna lie, when I first discovered Pinewood and followed its construction on IG, I got goosebumps. Fast forward 6 months to my own engagement, and my fiancé and I booking it for our September 2020 wedding! Pinewood is the long time vision of a husband and wife team with backgrounds in wedding photography + engineering. What a powerhouse combo! These are just the folks I want behind my venue design, because they have carefully thought out all of the details of the wedding day and the needs of the couple, their guests, and all the vendors! 12. Superior Shores Resort
If you’re a waterbaby like me, you might be dreaming of saying your vows on a beach! Well, if a destination wedding is more than your pocket can handle, consider this breathtaking alternative. Just north of Duluth is an adorable town called Two Harbors, and it’s the richest spot for photos of the vast Lake Superior! The Superior Shores Resort has a very log-cabin feel; its rustic and quaint and attracts the adventurous spirits of the upper midwest. But the best part is that your ceremony can actually take place on a pebble beach! And you can soak up the sun and the sounds of crashing waves against the rocky shores. It’s all natural beauty up here.
